Workshop & Service Notes:
- Internal Inspection: Fully inspected internally for component wear; all components are healthy. The laser lens has been professionally cleaned as standard practice.
- Laser History: Our service log shows a high-quality replacement laser was fitted 8 years ago. It has performed flawlessly ever since, tracking and reading rapidly. This robust laser has years of life left and is far superior to a 30-year-old original factory unit.
- On the bench for a toslink optical cable test via a qed cable (not included). Soundstage opens up a lot with an external dac, (Dac is not included with this sale) (Last 2 photos show it on the bench being tested).
Testing & Performance:
- Functionality: Fully operational. It plays standard CDs and high-quality CD-Rs effortlessly.
- Note on Discs: Like most high-end players, it expects decent discs. Severely scratched or deep-gouge discs will cause issues.
A wonderful machine that will be sad to see go.
